Aruba has its Dr. Horacio Oduber Hospital, a medical facility equipped with reputable medical staff, 300 beds and modern sophisticated equipment, with the potential to provide medical services, which are comparable to the services provided at medical facilities in the U.S.A. and the Netherlands. It functions as a general hospital with established ties to the U.S., Colombian, Venezuelan, Puerto Rican, and Dutch hospitals for specialized treatment and care.For services, which are not provided on the island, patients are sent abroad, mostly to the U.S.A. and the Netherlands.

Many Hotels are equipped with handicapped facilities with the possibility of renting a large assortment of healthcare products such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, bed pans, concentrators, scooters etc.

This center for hemodialysis has eight stations equipped with modern Fresenius 2008H machines. Each station has a TV, VCR and telephone.The treatment schedule is flexible, and the staff is multilingual. One person is allowed to accompany the patient during treatment.
